Karelia-Upofloor Oy consists of the mother company carrying out Karelia and Upofloor hardwood floor manufacturing and marketing and its fully owned subsidiaries - Upofloor Oy, which is the manufacturer and marketer of Upofloor-resilient floorings as well as importer of ceramic tiles and glass tiles; hardwood floor factories in Russia OOO Focus Wood and in Romania S.C. Karelia-Upofloor S.R.L. The group has four production units in Finland and a sales office in Estonia.
About 60% of the turnover comes from exports. The products are exported to some 40 countries through an international network of distributors. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the United States..
The group's turnover in 2008 was 117,9 MEUR and the number of personnel at the end of the year was 956.
Turnover and average number of personnel in 2007 was 128,8 MEUR / 927 people, in 2006 122,7 MEUR / 698 people and in 2005 117,1 MEUR / 701 people.
